Install HouseGRC

HouseGRC 2.0.0 is in its final checks. The installation files and the container image below are published on release day, very soon. To hear the moment they are, or to try it early, write to [email protected].
What you need
- A 64-bit Linux server or virtual machine with Docker Engine and the Compose plugin
- 2 CPU cores, 4 GB of memory and 20 GB of disk (see the system requirements)
- A name for it in your DNS, such as
grc.example.com, that your users' browsers can reach
Install it

Download the installation files into a new folder:

.envand setHOUSEGRC_HOSTNAMEto the name your users will type. The file explains the other settings; the defaults suit most installations.-
Start it, then follow its first start (about half a minute once the image is downloaded) until it reports that it is ready:
docker compose up -d docker compose logs -f housegrc -
Create the first administrator:
docker compose exec -u app housegrc python -m housegrc.cli create-superadmin --username admin Open
https://and your HouseGRC name in a browser, sign in, and set up multi-factor sign-in when it asks.
The installation guide covers certificates from your own authority or from Let's Encrypt, running behind an existing reverse proxy, single sign-on, email and backups.

When you are ready to buy
Buy a licence on the pricing page and paste the key into Settings ▸ Licence. Everything you set up during the trial stays as it is.
By installing HouseGRC you agree to the licence agreement.
